Ph.D Programme

Engineering and Technology:
Master’s Degree in Engineering in the areas related to CSE/IT/ E&C or equivalent with engineering background having 1st division or equivalent CGPA
M.Sc/MCA in addition to B.E./B.Tech as a prior qualification of M.E./M.Tech preference shall be given to candidates with GATE qualification

Management:
Candidates must possess first class master’s degree or equivalent CGPA in Management or in any branch of Engineering or Technology, or First class master degree or equivalent CGPA in Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics or Commerce with Mathematics or Statistics at the bachelor level

Preference shall be given to candidates with CAT/JMET qualification
NET/GATE score is mandatory for candidate with M.Sc/M.Com/MA qualifications

Reputed International Journal Publication is required for candidates with M.Sc/M.Com/M.A. with M.Phil qualification

Applied Sciences:
Mathematics/M.Sc in Electronics/Nanotechnology; M.Tech/M.Phil in material Science/ Nanotechnology/Computational Physics/Computational Mathematics having 1st division or equivalent CGPA

NET/GATE qualification is compulsory for M.Sc candidates

Reputed International Journal Publication is required for candidate with M.Phil qualification

Desirable Qualifications: Candidates with any one degree (Bachelor’s/Master’s) from any National Institute of importance/NITs etc will be preferred

Candidates having done post graduation with assistantship/fellowship will be preferred

Relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per GoI norms

The selected candidates shall be entitled for assistantship as per GoI norms from time to time

• Before applying keep the soft copy of your photograph in JPEG format (file size not to exceed 2MB)
• Please note that the photo upload process is onetime process, it can not be changed later
• Deposit the amount Rs 1000/- (General/OBC) or Rs 500/- (SC/ST/PH) on the account number given below and take the receipt from bank where the transaction reference number is mentioned clearly

• Click on Apply online
• Click on Go for Registration to get registered
• User-ID (email-id) and password will be sent on your registered email id and mobile number
• Sometimes the email delivery may take sometime or it can also be sent on Junk or Spam folder so check in these folders too
• Note that one email ID can be used only once for registration purpose so be careful when giving your details at the time of registration because if any entry is given false, it can not be changed at later stage and also the same email-ID can not be used twice for registration purpose
• Click on Go for Applying link and login with your access credentials
• Upon successful login enter the relevant details at the respective places (index 1, 2 and 3 given at left hand side after you login)
• These details are editable till you finally lock
• Now click on index 4 and apply for the Ph.D branch
• You will get one application number that will be sent on your mobile as well as on email ID given by you at the time of registration
• If you want, you can again click on index 4 and can change your branch but still your application number will remain same
• Once you are done, lock the details
• Once locked, the entries are not editable
• Take print of completed application form by clicking at index 5 and send it with all the photocopies of testimonials to Deputy Registrar, ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Morena Link Road, Gwalior-474015 so as to reach latest by 16th May, 2012

• They are also required to send immediately the hard copy print out of the application form duly signed along with the supporting documents to the Deputy Registrar, ABV-IIITM Gwalior, Morena Link Road, Gwalior-474015 so as to reach latest by 16th May, 2012

• On line bank transfer of Rs 1000/- (Rs 500/- for SC/ST/PH candidates) may be made as per the bank details given
• Candidates must specify broad areas of research in the application form
• Selection will be based on previous academic record, performance in written test/interview
• The syllabus for the written examination is given in the website http://www.iiitm.ac.in
• Candidates are recommended to visit the institute website http://www.iiitm.ac.in for faculty expertise
• Institute reserves the right to reject the applications for which faculty is not available for guidance
• Last date of receipt of application form is 16th May, 2012
