The degree examinations of the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) have been put off following a suspected question paper leak. The new dates would be announced in two days.

Political Science and Public Administration papers for the final year BA and Education paper for the second year BA students were to be held on Wednesday.

The degree examinations began on April 20 and were to be completed on May 24.

Vice-Chancellor of KSOU K.S. Rangappa told presspersons here on Wednesday that he had ordered the suspension of all degree examinations and had called for withdrawal of all question paper bundles.

There were suspicions that the history exam paper had leaked through a collaborator of the KSOU, he said. He hinted that the question paper leak had occurred outside Mysore.Prof. Rangappa admitted that the packet containing the question paper bundle was found to have been broken, leading to the suspension of the exams.

He confirmed that new dates for the exams would be announced in two days.
