Christ Nagar College of Education is an institution under the CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) Congregation which has rendered its service to the field of education for over 150 years. The CMI Fathers at Christ Hall Monastery, Kaudiar, Thiruvananthapuram are the members of the Governing Body. The College follows a policy strictly in accordance with the course charted out by the CMI Congregation in tune with the great educational ideas propounded by the Congregation’s founding fathers, particularly the Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara. The congregation views education as integral to the development of the human person and to the fulfillment of one’s individual and social responsibilities. The aim is towards forming teachers who are intellectually competent, spiritually mature, morally upright, psychologically integrated, physically healthy, socially acceptable, God loving and who will champion the cause of justice , love, truth and peace and who are always open to further growth.
